Sorrel drink

Ingredients
  • 200 g sugar
  • 300 ml Mineral water
  • 3-4 handfuls common sorrel
  • Club soda (optional)
Equipment
  • Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer
Directions
  1. Make a sugar syrup by pouring just boiled water over sugar and stir until it dissolves. Let cool.
  2. Put the cooled syrup in a blender with the sorrel. Compress sorrel leaves to make room for it all. Blend until smooth, and strain through a piece of cloth or a fine mesh strainer.
  3. Drink as it is, or mix with a splash of club soda.
  • Tips

    This recipe is actually a sorrel syrup, which adds flavor to other drinks. Try adding a bit to your mojito or similar drinks. The sorrel can be substituted with other herbs, depending on what flavor you desire.
